Your Right to Data Removal

Your Data Rights

At Shorts Auto Uploader, we respect your right to privacy and control over your personal data. In accordance with data protection regulations including GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data from our systems.

What Data We Store

Before requesting deletion, here's what data we may have about you:

  • TikTok Account Information: Your username and profile picture (obtained through OAuth)
  • Authentication Tokens: Encrypted tokens stored locally on your device
  • Usage Logs: Basic app usage data for troubleshooting (retained for up to 30 days)

Important: We do NOT store your videos, TikTok passwords, or detailed personal information on our servers.

How to Delete Your Data

Step 1: Disconnect from TikTok

First, revoke our app's access to your TikTok account:

  1. Open TikTok app on your mobile device
  2. Go to Profile → Menu (☰) → Settings and privacy
  3. Select "Security and permissions"
  4. Tap "Manage app permissions"
  5. Find "Shorts Auto Uploader" and remove access

Step 2: Uninstall the Application

Remove the Shorts Auto Uploader application from your computer to delete all locally stored data including authentication tokens.

Step 3: Request Server Data Deletion

To request complete deletion of any data we may have on our servers, send an email to:

Please include the following in your request:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your TikTok username associated with our service
  • Confirmation that you want all data deleted

What Happens After Your Request

  • We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours
  • Your data will be completely deleted within 30 days
  • You will receive confirmation once deletion is complete
  • Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics (this cannot identify you)

Data Deletion for TikTok

Please note that any content you've uploaded to TikTok through our service is stored on TikTok's servers, not ours. To delete content from TikTok:

  • Log into your TikTok account
  • Navigate to your profile
  • Delete individual videos as needed
  • Or contact TikTok directly for account-related requests
